anyone know why the time on the posts is running several minutes fast??

probably because the server clock is fast

yep my radio watch and PC both had 17:52 ....
depends on what platform ... sometimes the transmission time according to the ISPs server that's used .... sometime it's the reception time of the host
generally host time ...
