How to I set my default window size to fill my screen (i.e. maximise)? Occasionally, I need to reduce the size of a window for a particular program and then, for weeks afterwards, I am left with that as my default window size for that software. I've heard that if you maximise the window size before turning off the program, that it sets that as the default, but this does not always (if ever) work. Can someone advise?

make a shortcut for the prog and look in it's properties, you will see an input box that says 'start as' minimize maximize etc - adjust that.
