hi again,
next problem. how do I delete out of date links in favourites that I don't use any more? can I be selective or do I have to delete the lot?(windows xp)

Click on 'Favorites' in the menu and select 'organize favorites'. From there you can move them to folders or delete them.

right click on one favourite you no longer need and you will see there to delete it.
