computer timing

the time on my computer keeps going to the wrong time when i put the computer on first thing.a message tells me to put it right but also it keeps going to the wrong month as well.can anyone tell me how to fix it so it stays to the right time and date. thanks

You may need to change the battery on your mother board - usually a CR2032 button cell the size of a 5 pence piece. Start there. Firstly check your time in the bios - this should read the same as the time on your desktop. If you don't do it now - it may cause further problems.
