OK, I have finally been convinced that I need broadband. I have been with Orange (joined in 2003 when they were freeserve) dial up with no probs. Have now had a letter offering me a Broadband Starter package to try for one month, can cancel any time during that first month, at the same price as my dial up. It quotes fastest download speed at 2Meg and a 2GB monthly usage allowance. Is that reasonable - I have no idea! Has anyone any good or bad experiences of Orange Broadband please?

DONT USE ORANGE. They were on the TV programme Watchdog a week ago for one of the worst broadband service providers. I persoanlly have just got in with Tiscali - 1MB broadband unlimited useage. Easy peasy installation and so far so good. Please dont touch Orange with a bargepole.
not tried Orange, but Eclipse are good, 2Mbps speed, unlimited usage for 14.99 a month
Im surprised to see 2mbs speeds mentioned here as most are now 'upto 8 megs' connections.

eclipse certainly are as im with them also.

i was with orange when they were still wanadoo and while it was working they were fine but should you need to speak to customer service for any reason you may as well stop someone in the street and ask them.....a street in mumbai that is !
Never had a problem with Orange Broadband and I've been using it for just under a year.
