While recentley downloading i noticed that many new releases seem to play only for 10/15 seconds before the music is replaced by white noise. Is this a recent thing and does it just affect new material. If it helps with an answer i was using Kazaa at the time.

i'm told that kazaa is riddled with false files and also malicious files but not winmx, weird. Wasn't it Madonna's gang who began blocking the mp3's up? Anyway, Audiogalaxy, sure was a cool site. :-)
I have had the same problem on a number of occasions whilst using Kazaa Lite.I now use Imesh and all has been well so far.Just a shame about the spyware.
Yes this is a modern thing...if you visit most artists offical websites then you'll find they have sampler tracks available to download and they generally have either a very short version of the song or chunks of it are replaced by white noise.....kazaa seems to be much more badly affected by this than WinMX as A/bok says.
