When i add a website to my favourites list initially it has an icon beside it that is particular to the website.after a few days though this icon changes into the internet explorer icon. is there any way that i can change this or stop it from happening?

pleasehelpme: it's called the website's favicon, and that's what keeps disappearing. I believe they go when you erase history or cookies or temp. internet files in internet explorer.

Your temporary internet files such as your browsing history will be set to be removed after a certain amount of time (otherwise they'd take up too much room).
On Firefox, mine don't disappear.
