If I have a table in Word and then decide I want to number the rows, is there a way to do this?

Or do I have convert table to text, make a numbered list using bullets/numbering, then convert text back to table?

I've just tried it and all I needed to do was highlight the column to be numbered and clicked on Numbering. It worked for me.
Should have said while it was still a table, I did not convert it to text.

Thank you!

For Word 20007 Beta, select the column, select the Home tab, then click the symbol that looks like:

1 -----
2 -----
3 -----

in the Paragraph section of the toolbar.
