I frequently have to create documents using a range of pre-set tables in word. At the moment I keep the tables in one .doc and copy them to the other as required. Is there any way of saving the individual tables as templates and being able to insert them into a new word doc via the insert button? There are never needed in the same order -so creating templates with the set of tables already in isn't suitable. thanks

Could this be done using the macro feature in word?

Have to say I've never used macros but someone might be able to say whether this would work.

Save each table as a 'normal' Word file, not as a template. In your new document go to Insert then File... and choose the table. I think this is what you want.

One tip which might help, have a blank line before an after each table - prevents problems later?
