I have a car stereo which I would like to try to sell. I am sure there is a 4 digit code which the unit asks for upon fitting which I no longer have.

Could I have the stereo decoded and if so does it have to be fitted to do so? Ideas of cost would also be welcome, thanks in advance.

If it's the one originally in the car the franchise dealer should be able to look it up on their computer (I had problem when the battery was disconnected on my works van)

Nah, unfortunately it's not that simple. Would the retailer I bought the stereo from have the code?
