Can anybody tell me once you've deleted things from the bin and deleted e-mails how you can get them back? I know it can be done, but how?

if you are on windows xp you can reset your computer to a previous date. Not an expert but assume this would mean that you would then have all your files again as you did on that given day!?

Thank you Mrs Jo but how do I do that???

Unfortunately, the method that MrsJo suggests (namely System Restore: get to it by going to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore) won't restore any files you've deleted from your system, only the system (Windows) itself and the programs installed at that time.

There are tools out there that do allow you to "undelete" files that haven't yet been overwritten on the disk, however. I've not tried this particular tool myself, but a quick Google search on 'Undelete' brought up this free undelete utility: http://officerecovery.com/freeundelete/ which you can have a play with.
