OpenOffice

I have recently downloaded OpenOffice, but whenever I click on the desktop icon to unzip the files, I click "finished", and the click on the desktop icon to open the program.....and it goes back to the unzip menu...

Can anyone help?

Maybe it only put an entry for the actual program in the start - programs menu and not on the desktop and you are still clicking the unzip icon?

Unzipped files go into a folder within a folder that you usually specify when you first use your 'unzipper' (I assume that you're using Winzip?). I have a folder on the C drive just called Unzipped and let Winzip put everything there. Usually a window opens up showing the unzipped files (and the install program for OpenOffice?). Doesn't do any harm to unzip again (PS. check the size of the downloaded file to check that it downloaded ok - it should be 100MB+, I think).
