How can I cut a column in non table text, eg suppose I have this

AAAAAAA BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB

AAAAAAA BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB

AAAAAAA BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB

I want to cut the column with all the AAAAAAA but normally when you use the mouse to select it goes to the end of the line as you go down. Is there anyway of selecting a column? I have googled but I can't find anything that helps, thanks

It's a while since I've done it but I seem to remember you can convert text to a table. Block the text, convert to table then delete column 1.

Try clicking in one of the A cells and then go up to layout. On LHS there should be a delete button. Click that and go down to delete column.

I'm doing this from memory, so thinks it's right.

Sorry, just seen that it's non table.

I agree. it doesnt look as tho this is easy ( or do-able)

( all queries referred back to columns of tables

good idea bhg, will give that a go.

Bhg - that works, I've just tried it.

Everyday's a school day 😁

I've just tried it and it works - block text and under "TABLE" tab is convert with options.
