No - they aren't employed by anyone. It's a great life on benefits (for some).

Only if they provide a doctor's certificate within 3 days of the first day of absence.

No, but I get sick of paying them!

maggie you object to 77p?

I wish them both well and admire the King for announcing the procedure he is to have. 77p is peanuts, Red ;)

I think he's done a good thing in announcing it too, choux.  And he's done it for the right reasons.

If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys 😀    😀    😀    😀    😀    😀    😀

naomi, absolutely. He is 75 and, hopefully, his announcement might just galvanise some more men to be tested, whatever their age.

Testing is not the problem, getting the treatment fast is. The government continue to put adds on TV about all kinds of testing, but not so keen on advertising when and if you will get something done about it. But eh, this government is great at giving out BS time after time.

The government doesn't run the health service.  They just chuck money at it.

When he was Prince of Wales Charles paid tax voluntarily at 50% on any excess profits from  the Duchy of Cornwall from 1969 until he married in 1981, when his tax was reduced to  26%.     I don't know about NHS insurance.

I wish him well.

Bet the junior doctors strikes didn't delay his or the princess getting seen to aye!!

Remind us, what is their job ?

They're ambassadors for this country, anneasquith, recognised and respected the world over.

Oh Yes.

14.01 Makes you wonder why the news came out about both of them within one and a half hours? Was they hoping to keep it under wraps, and then realised that Kate would be missing for to long. Why would they want to keep it under wraps?Maybe a backlash from the 7.6 million on the waiting list?

If they had wanted to keep it under wraps they'd have done it.

Question Author

Yep, it looks like the press got wind of it, so no choice.

Can I get on the same hospital waiting list as the two of them please?

To George111-^^^^---Well if like the thousands of other people who pay for private treatment I daresay that you can.
