Just A Flick Of A Wand .... And Whoosh!

I was chatting to a very poorly friend the other day - she's been given only a short time to live - and all I could think was 'If only I had a magic wand to waft all this away from her'.

But magic wands can be used in more pleasant situations too - so if you had a magic wand, what would you do with it?

I would magic my dogs live for as long as I do

Magic away world hunger

magic away domestic abuse

I'd wave it to have all our children living either within walking distance of us or no more than 10 miles away.👧👧👧👦👦

I'd wave it all round my house to

a) make the massive spiders disappear

b) make it miraculously clean and tidy without the cleaning and tidying fairy (my alter ego) having to be troubled.

I think the SPARE ED would like a wee shottie of the wand ASAP...

I'll be in the minority but I'd  wave the Emojis away!

I'd wave the wand to bring back all my loved ones.

I'd wave it to take me to a desert island - far from the madding crowd.

I hope this doesn't sound maudlin but I would use if to bring my youngest son back.  Nothing else comes near.

Not at all, LB.  I know what you mean. X

all the numbers on the Euros tomorrow night would be an excellent start - and then start the move out of here....I'd also take on the funding of my mother's care....

You don't like your flat any more, DTC?

Thank you Naomi.

How about you?  What would you do with it?

If my magic wand would work for everyone in the world, I would ask for no more violence, equality for all, and more love.

I'd wave it for another wand, I'm bound to lose the first :-)

I'd wave it over AB to stop that annoying pop-up asking for money. It's every 5 seconds. ☹

Similar to you, LB.  I would magic a young person back.  I would also magic for everyone in the world peace of mind - the most valuable possession in the world - in my opinion.

I think all those things are a given really, I would imagine everyone wishes for them, I was thinking of more personal scenarios.

today if I had a magic wand, I'd have my kitchen refurb finished, the joiner gone, and all the muck and dust cleaned away by someone else. I want my kitchen back! 😏

Many years ago I bought some little gifts for good friends of mine to cheer them up. For the lady I got a carved wooden figure of a woman and engraved on her apron was the prayer: "Dear God, all I want is world peace and thinner thighs."

When she opened the gift she couldn't stop laughing and agreed the gift was very apt for her. Some months passed and I visited to see their newly re-fitted kitchen (lovely) but I was quite horrified to see that the figure had been fixed to the new tiles! I told her I thought it would languish at the bottom of the kitchen drawer, not in proud place.

I would wish good (or at least better) health for everyone who has problems. That is my idea of what is fundamental to all.

A wand to tidy up and clean all my cupboards.

A wand to make my meals every day.

A wand to bring George Clooney to my door.

No probs, Naomi.  I could send him over to you after I've finished with him  ....
