Is it charged?

Try plugging it in to charge anyway. Or try connecting it to the computer.
I assume you have checked it's charged? Tried it plugged in? Next thing is to connect it to and external screen, if it comes up on there then the screen is knackered.
Plug it in, wait at least 30 minutes and hold down the on button

I left it on charge then tried holding down the on button and the home button but nothing
My old iPad which I sometimes still use does something similar. Try any of this.
- Try a different recharging unit and lead.
- Leave for a few hours, then retry while still plugged in.
- If you do get it to work again, turn off auto screen brightness, and manually dim it.

Will let you know what happens next. Thank you
This happened to mine and my repairer said it is very common and not economically repairable.
With mine, it is a battery problem not a screen problem, and costs about £80 for an approved Apple Repairer to fit one. A lot cheaper than a new iPad.
It happened to an older generation ipad I had. The advice was, if all else fails, to lay it face down on your lap and give it a couple of firm slaps. It worked for me.

It’s bad news not repairable something to do with CPU it’s a common fault in iPad 7 th edition seemingly. Expensive to last only 2 years been well looked after.
