photos from a mobile phone to a laptop. I have a Samsung Galaxy A12 mobile phone and a Dell laptop.

i have a cable that i am sure i used before with my old phone, but it doesn't fit the one I have now, is there anyway to do it without using a cable. If not what cable should i look for to buy.
I only have a few photos to transfer.

Doesn't the cable you use for charging your current phone fit? That's what I use for my Samsung to Dell laptop.

Email them to yourself.

i thought of that but can't seem to find the e mail icon on the phone.
if that makes any sense.
Well go in via google/safari!!!!
I upload mine to Google photos then I can access them on every device. Quick, easy and a good way to back up

they were all sent to me on whatsapp.
Perhaps your phone isn't set up for emails and if you don't have a lead to connect the phone to your laptop, I'm out of ideas. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along to advise. Sorry, emmie. That's about my limit with technology.

Won't you consider uploading to Google photos, OneDrive or Dropbox?
Do both devices have Bluetooth, Emmie?
I would ask PC World.
Do what I do and use a programme called "Airdroid".
Install the app on the phone and go to http://web.airdroid.com/ on your laptop and you can transfer files to your laptop from your phone and vice versa - no need to connect with a cable, but I think both devices have to be connected to the same WiFi network.

i think the mobile has bluetooth.

Barry i can't find the way to upload them to google photos.
Are you using google photos? If so they are already downloadable on the PC. Just go to the google home page and click the square of 9 dots top right and select "photos", then click each one and then click the vertical 3 dots top right and "download" - The pictures will then be in your download folder.
Emmie - try Airdroid - dead easy and no need for cables :)

gettingonabit, phone charges in the socket on the wall.
Like 2 other people on here, I use Google photos as a back up. You'll need a Google (Gmail) account but that's really easy to set up.
