Mouse And Keyboard Not Working

I have a Logitech keyboard and mouse and today when I went in to turn on my computer neither worked. Changed batteries in both and still not working. They are Wi fi and not had any bother before.
Only thing is that there was a power cut last night for a short while and wondering if that had any bearing.
Do I have to buy new keyboard and mouse. Computer is now not able to be used or is there anything I can do to get it working.
Thank you for any assistance

Do the work if you connect them by USB cable?

Does this help?

Try turning both off then removing & replacing the Logitech dongle (even using a different USB slot might help) & trying them again.
Was also going to suggest as a starter you pull out the little USB receiver and put it back in again, PC may have forgotten it was there.
Have you tried unplugging the sender from the PC and then re-connecting it?
If that has no effect, open up "Computer Management" > Device Manager and click on "Mice and Pointing devices" and check on the status. (I'm assuming you have a corded mouse available).
Another thought - the (very old) keyboard connected to my other computer has a button underneath to connect it to the sender - does yours?

Have been at the computer all afternoon and no joy.
Do not see where the cable would go and do not have a cable that I see. Is there a way I can see if there is a WiFi connection
Is it time to get someone in to track the problem or buy new.
Anyway thanks to all for trying to help.
Maybe I will have another go later
