i don't think we did given the alternative
Other than to induce an air of self-righteous smugness, I’m not sure how an apology from Cummings would benefit anyone - but the British people didn't get it wrong - on either count.
'Just Thinking'
Would you like to revisit that and consider whether it is an appropriate title?
shoota for BA
if he'd apologised it would have been a very quiet week on ab

It's very tiresome seeing these questions in Chatterbank. That's just my opinion.

Not wanting to churn over old territory, but the reason Labour had such a stunning defeat was they had a 70s ideologue as a leader, who wouldn't say what his policy was on the key issue of the day, Brexit, and who most of his MPs thought was useless. But, as he said himself, Labour had the best policies, the electorate was too thick to realise it.
11:54 - very good, totally agree.

It would prove that the Prime Minister's senior adviser is not so arrogant and out of touch that he can't admit he has been found out in a lie, and then tried to treat the electorate as idiots.

If you want self-righteous smugness, you don't need an apology from Mr Cummings to see it - he's already demonstrated that rather dubious personality trait with considerable ease.

I want him to admit that he broke the rules, in spirit if not in law.

I also want him to admit that it was wrong for the PM and others to come on TV and say he acted 'with integrity' when he did anything but, and the supreme irony is, failure to admit his wrongdoing shatters any integrity he may have possessed previously.

And I want him to admit that he treated the British public with utter contempt if he expected them to swallow his 'eye test' garbage excuse for taking his wife out on her birthday.
// The tories such a majority and voting to leave The European Union .just out of interest it’s in chatterbank is this okay ?//

of course it is ! 11 48 reminds us of this every day !
I'm pretty sure I didn't break any rules in either the general election or the EU referendum, or was instrumental in creating any rules that told people how to vote in either of those events, and then did something else when it suited me.

So no, I don't think I got anything wrong or need to apologise to anybody.
^Quite right.
^ Not really.
You can’t knock the self-righteous, spice. They’re always right.
this is an annoying zit on the face of the virus story.....pop it and move on.
I must live in a bubble because neither I nor anyone I know has noticed a single difference since we left the EU as yet - so how could we even begin to think we got it wrong?
You do live in a bubble, Prudie. We’re in the transition period as the trade deal (the one where things will be affected) hasn’t been done yet.

It would benefit by giving the impression what he did shouldn’t be the “norm” so in apologising to the normal people, it’d give a sense of he understands our frustration.

But how he did act was muggy and non apologetic , even though Durham police said he broke lockdown rules.

But i guess you may be one to feel some should have more leeway than others? Maybe those such as MPs? Do as I say not as I do and you’re happy with that. Fine. Some aren’t.
//it’d give a sense of he understands our frustration. //

No frustration here.
