Is there a way I can put up a photo on this site. Have seen folk using tiny pics? Any instructions appreciated.

Thanks GG, will give it a try.
You're welcome. Hope it's stopped snowing :)

You must be joking. Thought the thaw had arrived, but it's been snowing really heavily for the past 2 hours. Don't think I'll get the car out today; sick of it.
I can well imagine - glad I'm not in Scotland any more!
planning on piccies of snow, Maggie? :-D xx

It's boring now, woke up to another inch of the darned stuff this morning, yesterday's thaw was promising too.

Agree Alba, getting really boring now and longing for the thaw. Looked promising last night but not to be.
I used tinypic for a long time Maggiebee, but found it dreadfully slow and faffy with the bot filter. I now use thumbsnap which is almost identical to use and there is no lag and no bot filter to negotiate.

Thanks Togo, will have a look at that too.
On both of those picture services you will need to either add files(choose image) which should already be copied into your photo library on your pc. Then when you are given the option to upload choose "more links" (or view more link codes) and scroll down to the one that gives "Direct" link. In the box you will see an url. Copy and paste that url to the answer box on Answerbank.

Like Togo, I find Tinypic rather 'clunky' to use.

My own preference is for this:
http://upl.co/

(Hint: When you get to a thumbnail and several different links, ignore all of those links. Instead, click on the thumbnail to see what your picture will look like. Then click on it again to get it to fill the screen. Copy the URL of that page and post it on an AB thread)
Saved that into favourites and having a go Buen. If it works hats off to you. (That really is my hat)

Haha. (Ha(t)ha(t) :))
That works!
Yay. It works for me too:-)
Togo & Melv:
You can get rid of all the unnecessary garbage around your photos by clicking once more on the images (as Tilly has done).

(Lovely dog, BTW!)
Cheers, Chris. The dog's not mine. It's my partner's sister's border collie.... Oscar
