Can anyone recommend a cheap copier/ printer that will be for occasional use in a shop? Mainly to be used to copy documents and no more than 40 sheets per month. Thanks

consider the cost of ink rather than printer.. some are very cheap but a new set of ink is more !!
True. I bought a Canon printer from Amazon for £20 (I think it was an old model). The inks cost £26.
For such little usage, why not just put everything you need printed onto a memory stick and use your local library?
I bought an HP Deskjet 1514 from Tesco a couple of years ago for under £30, and it's been ideal for a similar amount of use to your needs. Only uses one colour and one black and white cartridge, the latter are about £11/12 in Tesco
There is usually a Canon printer, copier scanner available new for about £50 and the original inks can be obtained for around £10 each. They have a good reliability record.
There are cheap black and white laser printers that offer a cheap cost per copy. It also eliminates the dried ink problem.
I paid £40 for the Ricoh sp 211 from Tesco and it has been excellent.
Like Donny I also have a Ricoh 211 and find it excellent.
