Muffled Phone

Because of the set up in the property I have a two unit hands free phone because I can't hear the phone ringing from the base unit in other rooms - whichever unit I answer from, after about 7/10 minutes the sound becomes muffled - I've re- charged the batteries but am I right in thinking the set up has had it's day- it is quite old?

Perhaps the batteries in your handsets are done for. My Panasonic has 2 x AAA rechargeable cells; perhaps yours has batteries you can replace.

Make sure you replace with rechargeables, preferably precharged.
