"Living their dream job"
I am!
Police dog handler.
Uniform and dog. What more could you ask for?
...although I made a pretty good job of being a teacher...
Tilly, hopefully we would have been in the same force
I am too. I used to want to be a vet, though.
PC Tilly and PC Sibs plus GSD's.

A formidable team.
Oh my gawd
I actually am living my dream job (in aviation industry in work which has taken me all over the world, so although over retirement age in no hurry to give up yet). I also achieved what you would have liked to do nailit in my spare time and learnt to fly. When it got to stage of having a commercial licence freelanced on business jets.
Naturalist/oceanographer type thingy.
Sort of a Jacques-Yves Attenborough type bloke.
Wanted to be a barrister before I realised how little justice was involved
In retrospect, having dabbled muchly, archaeology should have been my choice
Like Tilly, I don't think I was a bad teacher but was swamped with the paper work which was mostly irrelevant
Always tried to make my pupils interested and successful

I always wanted to be an air hostess despite being 5ft nothing. I even attended an interview in 5" heels hoping they wouldn't notice. Silly me. I was sent packing faster than the Concorde!!
Always been interested in property (and I am nosy) but Estate Agency was out because I can't sell.
I wanted to be a hairdresser but my dad couldn't afford the 2/6 a week apprenticeship.
I wanted to join the police but was hugely discouraged. Went in to secondary teaching which I left 8 1/2 years ago - start up the local primary next week to see if I'm up to it (I seriously doubt I have the 'personality' for primary).
masma, shame that. I got payed for my apprenticeship ( not hairdressing though ! ).

sherr, you'll be just fine.
A vet or an RSPCA Inspector.
