using w7 firefox laptop
i haave downloaded some films
but i would like to know how to put them on disk
i have dvds - .+

Click on the Start button, then on All Programs and finally on Windows DVD maker. Follow the instructions. Tell us if you encounter a problem.

when i press to play all i get is a pic of the video.
plus a caption saying
play all scenes thank you

That sounds like a standard DVD player menu display to me. You need to ensure that 'Play all scenes' is highlighted (by using the arrow buttons on your DVD player's remote control, if necessary) and then press the 'OK' button.

the back arrows .are highlighted
the forward arrows are not

I don't know which program you're trying to use to watch the video but Windows Media Player (which is what is on most Windows computers) is notorious for causing problems when attempting to watch DVDs. Try a better media player, such as VLC or GOM:
