Ring O2 and ask them to check the coverage for your house. We had to change to Vodafone when we moved.
If you are with o2 there is an app that links the mobile to your router; this dramatically improves reception in the house. It is called TUGO; I use it as I have very poor reception.

Not a lot you can do apart from see if any other network has better coverage and maybe switch to another network, that could be costly depending on where you are on your contract. As for broadband...... changing your service provider is unlikely to make much difference, it may be worth getting your speed checked to make sure the problem isn't on your phone line.
The government are in talks with mobile phone operators about asking them to share mobile phone masts to increase coverage in rural areas.
have you tried the usual,
turn off phone
remove sim card
wipe sim card
put sim card back in phone
turn phone back on
Its an 02 blackspot, by the look of it. Try the link that Bob has provided but you may have to change your iphone carrier. I wouldn't hold your breath about phone companies sharing transmitters though...this has been mooted for years and nothing has happened yet !
I live in an o2 blackspot - one bar reception at best. TUgo improves the reception so. I use BT broadband; I would suggest checking with virgin that tugo is compatible? (It does work with iPhone)
