Camera Shutter Stuck

I have a Lumix Panasonic DMC FSSO. I have been fiddling around with the controls on the camera and the bottom half of the shutter seems to have wedged into position across the bottom half of the lens. I pushed the top half out of the way and it seems to have stayed there.
I have tried to revert to the factory setting, but to no avail.
Is the camera shop the best option, or is there something else that I can try to 'mend' it?

Do you mean a DMC-FS50 digital camera. You might try talking with Panasonic support first. http://www.panasonic.com/uk/support.html There is also a service centre locator on that page Enter visual/still cameras to get to the post code locator
