obviously it didn't baldric. an error on my part.
That was probably a typo.
Hackney over the weekend.Another job for Operation Trident which I understand is reducing staff or even closing down.
Strange that Baroness Lawrence does'nt say a peep about these numerous black on black killings in the Metropolis. As long as our young ethnic cousins are allowed to strut their stuff with their gangs, guns and drug deals this will always happen.Lawrence tragically lost her son.Parents are losing their children in the black community regularly but she remains silent.Life for drug dealers and illegal possession of firearms.Stamp out gangs with punative punishments that hurt.
I just can't comprehend what is going through the minds of these youngsters, waving guns around at 15! What gives?
So much for Labours gun laws. As usual they have penalsed the law abiding citizen whilst those that wish to flout the law really dont care about a new one and another young life is lost.

I fail to see the connection between gun laws, and what appears to be an illgeal gun.

The tragedy is that young people are pursuaded to hold guns for gang members. Add some teenage bravado, and a tragedy is waiting to happen.

The responsibility lies with the police and law makers who must do more to stamp out illegal gun ownership and possession.

Some education for young disaffected youth concerning the appeal of guns, and the consequences of owning them would be appropriate - but that costs money, and the government won't want to pay, because successive governments will not put money where it belongs - in nursery education.

If you raise a generation of children to respect themselves, and each other, this problem will die out - but that costs money in the beginning of education, and government is obsessed with spending it at the other end.
Every citizen of every country relies on their government to keep them safe. Governments do this in all sorts of ways.

But our governments, of tory, labour, coalition, have constantly let us down by allowing people to come here who have no comprehension of living in a civilised society.

We now have 15 year old kids with guns walking the streets of London, killing other 15 year old kids.

This is the sort of thing you hear about in Los Angeles but our lax immigration laws have allowed it to begin to happen here.

As people say, you can take the person out of Africa, but you cant take Africa out the person.

Sadly another example of how our country is going downhill.
Andy, gun laws were bought in to 'control' gun crime. But it doesn't as we see.

Criminals dont care about any law so all that particular law did was ruin law abiding citizens enjoyment.

Was the shooter foreign, I though he could not be named so how do we know?

Personally, I would wonder about anyone who derives 'enjoyment' from shooting at things, even inanimate things, but that is just a person viewpoint.

Not sure what the nationality of the culprit here has to do with anything - ?
Read the post above mine then Andy.

Oh if was all so easy as that Andy, no amount of money thrown into education will put an end to all this, just look at all the sex education they receive today, does that stop them from taking contraceptive measures? No.

What about protecting the environment, they have enough lessons on that, does that stop them from destroying trees and plant life, throwing down their litter, spitting their gum on the pavements/ No.

If we could educate our youngsters in the way you suggest, do you honestly believe that in future generations, crime will become obsolete? If only.

Has it been reported that the shooter was an African immigrant???
girl visited and the kids were playing with w loaded fire arm
you know as they do
and the hare-trigger went off.

tragic waste of life.
kids of this age are pretty gormless tho'
i wonder at the stupidity of waving guns around, was it supposed to impress, now a young girl is dead, and by the way if it was accidental, how can he be charged with murder. Manslaughter i would have thought.
What is Boris doing about all this gang violence, I thought he was in over- all charge of the Met.

I have now, but that wasn't on the site when I wrote my response - we must have cross-posted.

Of course it's not easy - but we cannot dismiss the thought of educating some respect and compassion into future generations simply because it is not a quick fix.

That's the way MP's and governments think. They want results that come through in the life of their administration because hopefully it will get them re-elected.

This needs serious planning and investment, and will take two, maybe three generations to see results, but it is still my dream, and I hang onto it, because the alternative, which shows every sign of getting worse - doesn't bear thinking about.
