Text On Tv

hello, I can't get tele text on itv or sky...it keeps coming up TO ACCESS TELETEXT, FIRST PRESS TV ON YOUR REMOTE CONTROL THEN PRESS TEXT? I have tried this a number of times but still don't work. any ideas???

Teletext and Ceefax ended ages ago. BBC does a red button service which is the new version - you may be able to access it by pressing the text button whilst you are on BBC1 via freeview, not Sky

the red button is also available on Virgin

SKY recently ceased their Text service, stating that it was still available on their website sky.com, although I haven't managed to find it there !
