This little ****** has installed itself onto my computer and I cant get rid off it. I think its some sort of spyware software (isnt it?).  Its changing my homepage and even when I delete the icon from the desktop it reappears when I put my laptop back on. Its driving me crazy.  Can someone help to explain a)what it is b) how the dang it got there c) how do I get rid of it.  - Cheers

Type "Derbiz removal" into google. Lot's of pages will be returned that can help you achieve this. Some seem more technical than others.

It seems DerBiz is a version of the "Elite Toolbar" so try downloading the removal tool here;

Bare in mind that "DerBiz" is a "rogue-dialler" so every time you are connected to the internet you will be paying 1.50 per minute on your phone bill. Call BT 100 and get them to bar premium-rate numbers immediately.

As the poster in the above link suggests; download the removal tool on a friends computer and transfer it to your computer with a disc. Good luck.

Let us know how you get on.

The best way to get rid of that kind of thing is to use a high quality spyware/adware removal tool.
I recommend Spyware Doctor - it's a free program that does a fairly comprehensive computer scan, and will fix, find and delete the whole Derbiz thing.
A weekly scan with this program will keep your computer spyware free.
