I don't know how she has done it, but the display on my daughter's laptop has gone sideways. We've switched it off but it is still sideways. Anyone know how to put it right please?

Probably a hotkey to rotate the screen from portrait/landscape - what brand/model is it?
Try holding down Fn + Alt and then pressing the left or right arrow keys.

It's a vaio - the fn and alt and arrow keys didn't work.
or try right clicking when on desktop - should get an option "graphics options" - hover over that and then it should say "rotate" - then click on "Normal"

Right or Left? Slightly unfortunate terminology there, sherrard!

thanks for your answers - I have had to swith it off for now as I need the table for lunch, I will give your ideas a go later.
isn't it something like, shift and up/down/left/right keys?
Isn't it normally CTRL + ALT and use the arrow keys?
I think that's the key combination on a Dell, Mark...
Vista = Ctrl +alt + up according to most of the sites ive looked at.
Think it's more like it the hot keys on intel graphics, CTRL + ALT works on this computer i'm on now (my fathers) which isn't a Dell and on a lot of the HPs at work.
