When I right-click my start button (Win98), i can't click Open or Explore; they are greyed. How come?

hello! one reason is if youi have tweak UI on your comp. there is a section (my computer) where you uncheck drives fot the system not to check. if you uncheck any of these "open and explore" will grey out. check all the drives to solve this problem. I did and the comp doesn't run any slower. ~JIm
