Now that my dvd recorder is no good as it's not digital (i have freeview tv) & also my portable tv with video recorder, what is the cheapest,easy box to buy that i can record on? Thanks

You can still use your DVD recorder with Freeview, if the Freeview box has suitable connections which it probably does. Which model is your Freeview box?
