UK Cellnet which later became BT Cellnet rebranded itself to become the Mobile Network "O2". BT then sold it off to a private company if I'm not mistaken. I know that it's no longer officially affiliated with BT anyway.
All Bt Cellnet customer went to o2 automatically. I think BT then cut its ties with o2 (after providing huge amounts of money towards 3g), and now has its own mobile division called BT Mobile, which offers some goods deals, and I think can be paid for in along with your normal phone bills.
