to allow ringtones for mobile phones when they could've used the silent vibration-only method? Probably the same nursery school reject who allowed solicitors to start advertising. All these no-win-no-fee ads are really getting on my ****.

I'm baffled (easily done I know...but) how do you make the leap from mobile phone ringtones to solicitors?

Yes, I can see how easy it is. Who said there has to be a connection? Can't I disagree with two concepts which are worlds apart?
A lot of things annoy you don't they? Do you write to the papers regularly and sign them off "Angry From Tunbridge Wells"?

What's your beef? I was agreeing with your self-assessment and as for annoyances - they're everywhere!
I don't have one, i was just gently poking you with a stick to see if you'd snap ;-)

Happy Friday!
Blimey!!
Silent vibration? What if it's not in the same room as you.
i like to hear my phone, vibration annoys me so i switch it off
Plus I have a cool ringtone on mine. It's only right that I share my awesome taste in music with everyone else around me, whether they want to or not.
I nearly had to tell McFluff to phone me this morning because I couldn't find my mobile. I still wouldn't have found it if it didn't ring...
lol every time you do that its never on

Oh the irony of using the word brilliant!

Not the best thought through rant ever is it....
Guess where I found it (after searching down the back of the sofa's) In my friggin bag...! I didn't think to look there...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a phone small enough to always have it nearby? If not, if it's in another room why not use the landline? And speaking of annoyances, how about some consideration for those in the immediate vicinity who also have to hear the paging? If you can't have your phone near enough to hear/feel the vibration that's your problem.
looks like your ( rant ) is not being taking seriously LP. :(
Paging?

How very 80s
