it will switch on and i am getting all the lights come on but theres nothing coming up on the screen any ideas guys

Dead screen or backlight maybe.

Try shining a torch at the screen, can you see a very faint image? (when it's on obviously)

will give it a go CF it was fine yesterday, I left it in idle while I went to make the tea and its been like it since its likes its in sleep mode or something

In that case, disconnect the power and remove the battery for a couple of minutes and then try again.
