Just a quick g'day. In the middle of domesticity, you're not the only one who knows how to have fun!

Afternoon oz. What's on the menu this evening?
Got heaps of fresh farm eggs, some thick sliced double smoked ham and baby English spinach by the bucket load. Reckon it may be a quiche tonight with some homemade sweet potato chips and garlic bread.
And how are you going?
Question Author
That sounds like an excellent dinner to me mate. :o} I haven't done sweet potato chips for about six years. The deep fat fryer is due a degunge, I reckon I might do some than.

I'm fine ta. Overdid it a bit yesterday, but I got it done, knowing that today is easy. The hospice is always pleasure...believe it or not! The hospital is for the hearing clinic. Nothing dramatic. :o}

Off to weekly village coffee morning this morning. Haven't been since middle of May so it will be nice to see them all again. I had a lovely bouquet of flowers and a card from them all when I came home.

I was in the Royal Artillery in the 60's and 70's, on the guns. No ear defenders then. When I was persuaded by Vera to have a hearing test, I was amazed at how much I had lost. Some frequencies completely gone. The hearing test machine, you have headphones on and a button in your hand, probably the same there oz, press the button every time you hear a beep. Vera said I missed more than I got!

Once the hearing aids were ready, a couple of weeks later, I tried them, loved them instantly, The delightful young lady fitting them suggested I leave them out until I got home. 'Not a chance!' Says I. So I kept them in. We got in the car and I started it up. 'Crikey!, That's loud!' I said. Vera just smiled. I'd always thought it was quiet!

Vera used to call me her deaf old badger!
