Does anyone know if PayPal is down ?
I've ordered things on line today from two different sources and I usually get an email straight away to confirm my purchase but I've had nothing .
The transactions went through according to my account .

I doubt it jno, I have got short wide thick feet! When I was at school (grammar) there was a school shoe made by Clarks which was compulsory. I was officially excused wearing it because the fitter wouldn't sell me a pair because they fit me so badly. I ended up in those boys' laceups that had a compass hidden in the heel!

Rain has arrived here .I hope we don't get the man in the sky moving his furniture around though.
Nice to have comfy shoes Jno .I have a lot trouble with getting shoes these days with the arthritis in my feet plus they seem to have gone abroad a bit and I need a wider fitting.I don't range far these days though. My slippers get more wear than my shoes ..lol
Night all.
goodnight folks
Morning all, I must have slept a long time, we're into October I see. It obviously rained steadily for some time, spitting now, but no storms.
Neti I feel for you in the constant heat, I couldn't stand it, that sizzling day (or was it two?) we had a few weeks ago was more than enough.

Comfortable shoes are a must, I can usually find something in Clarks. I've wanted a pair of....erm....let's say neutral* suede boots for a couple of years and I've seen some on a fashion site but they're probably not that comfy.
I had a mail from Amazon this morning asking whether I was 'Off to Uni?' I suppose they meant Uniqlo.

*apparently 'beige' sets off alarms with the fashion police...what do they know, tut?
Good morning. Sitting waiting at hairdressers. My appointment was 20mins ago.
I find it hard to get shoes, but these modern platform ones are perfect for me and don't hurt.
M'tang or Mustang as they used to be known are really modern and comfy. But maybe you cant get them in UK.
I like Hotter shoes but they have rubber soles and two pairs in a row have split across the soles after about a year (of normal walking, no mountaineering). It doesn't happen with other rubber-soled shoes and I don't know why here; maybe it's a design or manufacturing flaw. I was on my way to return a pair when the car broke down.
Good morning all. Jno, that's very odd, maybe its a foot shape vs shoe shape thing? I used to split wellies like that very quickly but not since I got Aigle ones. Tis drizzly here, dogs sleeping and water butts all working and filling up nicely.

Hello all
Sloooow internet connection this morning although it seems to have speeded up a bit now .
Got out a nice day ,very warm though,so I'm not speedy either .No rain although threatened. No storms last night either and the rain we did get didn't really dampen anything.I think it tracked up the middle so being on the edge we were missed.
Hope you're all ok.

Hair done, well not sure about it, looks too normal for me! I'm trying out waxes and gels and its looking more like me. Gfb thinks its 'adorable darling !' Have tried to have more energy but failing fast.
I went into a Hotter shop, well I was embarrassed to be there, so left.
Sometimes my feet are so painful that no matter what I wear it doesn't help, then days like the last few months, it's great, can wear most styles, although am barefoot most of the time, even take shoes off in dentist and hairdressers.
Q for woofy. Before I had tooth and cyst removed there were always brownish stains on my pillow although I tasted nothing bad. Since removal there are no stains, could it have been leaking out??
sounds like it Neti, also stuff that messes with your sinuses can also affect what you can taste so you might not have noticed any bad taste from the drainage.
No rain?!!
It hasn't stopped here aaaall day, very dark, had to put the light on at one point. Had a rotten sinus headache aaaall day too.

Damp and despondent of Derby.
sounds like your drain was fitted upside down, neti.
I can fix that! got the screwdriver and everything.

Pouring down here now .I knew we wouldn't get away with it .It's reached Derbys and turned back :)
At least it'll cool the air. Got out very sticky here today.
You have the screwdriver Woofy ? I've got some of those rod things you can get round the bend with.
.....runs
Night all.
Good morning...blue sky and sunshine, hurray! The garden looks refreshed, we did need the rain and I swear the grass has grown overnight, I just didn't need the bad head that came with it.

Are any of you on Streetlife? (I think you mentioned it shaney). Every day I get an email 'Here's what your neighbours are talking about'. One day I'll open it and it'll probably say 'YOU!'....haha. Maybe I should give 'em something to talk about.

Poor neti, you rotten lot. I've got just the thing...
