Does anyone know if PayPal is down ?
I've ordered things on line today from two different sources and I usually get an email straight away to confirm my purchase but I've had nothing .
The transactions went through according to my account .

Had more energy today, have changed the bed and got that all dried, and bathroom towels etc. Then Mr N came home unexpectedly, so just watching tv for now. Have made a pissaladier again.
It might not be a cold Neti. If you have got junk draining from where the cyst was then that can give you cold like symptoms.
Oh really woofy, but it's a soreish throat, not actually being a cold, yes in fact I was expecting a full cold by now and it is taking it's time, so hopefully its the cyst thing then.
I am making myself rest my foot today, its very boring
glad you're feeling better neti...I've had an enforced lazy afternoon too, sinus head :(
yes Neti, it sounds like drainage. It goes through your sinuses and drips onto the back of your throat causing inflammation.
Looks like it might rain, all all towels and bath mats are still on the line but cba to get them in!

Evening all
Bit like Clapham Junction here today .Boiler man for the service ,one man and his mower ,friend with dogs .I just seem to have made tea all day.
Hope you're all fair to middling .Much cooler than yesterday thank goodness and we've just had a shower of rain.
Flop on the sofa time now for New Tricks .KBO folks:)
Its amazing how much better the dogs are now the weather has cooled. As well as better appetite and digestion, they are much more relaxed. Rab in particular is much less anxious. I really hope it doesn't come back.

Aw..sob,I shall miss Gerry .At least they didn't kill him off.
Yes it's much more comfortable for dogs and humans Woofy although I never thought I would say that being a lover of the hot weather in my younger days. It's not a nice heat we've had either.
Since getting this dratted rheumatoid/oa the weather plays havoc. This last few days I thought that if my joints swelled much more they would explode. That would have made a mess ..lol.

lovely BBQ with sis and her man on Saturday, though the trains were barely runnign (and full of panicky people trying to get to the airport - I suspect a lot of them failed).

Sunday tried to drive to the mall but the car's temperature gauge went off the dial and a STOP sign started flashing on the dashboard. The AA man thought it was a thermostat malfuction as the engine didn't feel hot at all; so I've taken it into our regular garage to check.

And I'm being bothered by floaters in my eye, with some flashes to illuminate them, so maybe I'll go to the gara - I mean the eye hospital to have myself checked too. Oh bliss, oh poop poop!
Good morning all. I get eye floaters and flashes, just thought it part of getting old! Getting old?? I am old!
Still hot and sweaty here, but then it is August. Having teeth cleaned tomorrow and I'm sure tyey will all fall out, and a Halle Berry style haircut on Friday, going for a change of style.
Did you all get my emails in the panic we had?
no, no emails from you, neti, though I've had them in the past.
Morning ...glorious but set to get a tad warm this afternoon.

I haven't watched New Tricks for a long time now shaney, I preferred the original line up.
Yes, I think the weather's playing havoc with us too. I don't know what's in the air but my eyes and sinuses are driving me mad. Woke at 3am and didn't really sleep after that. Then my insides decided to rebel so I'm not going far today. My eyes have had more floaters/sparkly bits etc than usual since the weekend, I put it down to non painful migraines.
I need to see a vet :)

I think I received all your mails neti ...but how would I know? :)
I keep thinking about having my hair chopped off but I don't want to end up looking like a half eaten lollipop.

Good morning all. I thought that was the perfect "out" for Gerry and lovely to see another happy ending. Hasn't the bloke who played the baddie who faked the explosion lost weight since Judge John Deed? He was the unpleasant doctor who Jo nearly married. I think that the new team are actually good but the stories were flagging. The dialogue still sparkles, especially Danny.
Jno Wind in the Willows is one of my favourite comfort books. The perfect balance of slapstick and poetry.
I have gone back to longer hair and a more shaggy short cut. I went really short, not as short as Halle Berry but it just made my bald bits more noticeable. I chose the wrong parents for having good hair. My lady what cuts is going off on mat leave after my next appointment so I will have someone else for a while. I am on about my third lady what cuts as they are all young, have babies and then come back to work doing different days and times but I don't mind. The salon owner trained them all and she teaches them, among other things, to really listen to what customers want.
I think I got all your emails Neti, but my replies bounced...odd that.
My gas service is due but I will let the weather settle first. July and august have been hard for the dogs, and therefore for me and we are entitled to a break.

Morning all
Dull and cool .
Yes it was a good ending for Gerry, Woofy .I was on the edge of my seat when the car exploded ! Loved the bit at the end as he drove off in the Mustang .
I did prefer the old line up too but it's still good .Shame it's the last series .
Hope you're all ok .
We're going to totter to town shortly to the market .I want runner beans and important items like foot gel .My bro isn't doing any beans this year so I'll have to buy them ..tut .
I've grown all the layers out of my hair and now have an inverted chin length bob .I love it and my hair looks thicker .Underactive thyroid caused my hair to thin and it doesn't ever thicken up again .Mousse is the best thing ever invented ! I never go out unmoussed darlings :)
I haven't noticed any hair thinning with my under active thyroid, I'm glad to say, weight gain yes, although that could be sweeties!!

On the news today there was an article saying that people don't take so many seaside hols in this country anymore ,They're wrong!
Packed to the gunnels in town .The road to the seafront was a heaving mass of people .No room at any inns for lunch and queues for the chip stalls were impossible .You couldn't put a pin down in the market place let alone find anywhere to sit down.Awful, and it got out warm.Got our stuff and scrambled back on the bus pdq.
Strange that Neti ,thinning hair was one of the first things I noticed before I went to the doctors along with weight gain and dry skin etc.I do take a fairly high dose of thyroxine but my hair has never thickened up again. It's not ever so thin but not as thick a mop as it used to be.
Can smell burning wood, but cannot see anything untoward. Hope there's not a fire nearby!
yes I've got the dry skin, thought that was old age.

Ibiza has said we are at our limit, can't take more people or cars, though how they are going to sort it, I can't begin to guess!
