I think this is a lost cause but...

When Windows Live replaced Outlook Express, I set it up on a new PC and downloaded from the web via MSN the emails remotely stored there in Hotmail. However, it only brought in emails going back to 2007. I believe the previous emails were still there going back to about 2001. After the download though, they disappeared, so were presumably archived [or dumped]. They were on my previous PC as well, having been downloaded through OE, but that computer was beyond repair.

Have they gone forever?
