Why am I having so much trouble on AB. Download speed is 3888 upload speed is 663 yet I'm really struggling to scroll up and down on this site. Ive done a scan with Kaspersky virus scanner and with Malware bytes, all appears to be clean and clear.

Carakeel is also complaining of troubles using FB, she is typing and there is a delay in the typed letters appearing on screen, both on same line but different PCs

I reckon some suspended gypsies have put a temporary curse on the site.
I have the delayed typing problem too.....leaves letters 'stranded' and a little irksome that is too.
it could be your internet connection?
I'm sorry I can't help, sinderella seems to be having difficulties as well.

I had problems on Monday but put that down to dreadful weather conditions here.
Thought it was just me,
Seems fine here!..............no problems at all so far!..............
Sometimes it won't allow me to put my curser into the text box and start typing and when it finally does, it types so slowly and hooks at times. Soooo annoying. It is only on Fb and AB though.
Something is hogging all of your processing power

Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Look under the CPU column. 'System Idle Process' should be showing a number up in the nineties. Everything else should be in single figures. If anything, other than System Idle Process, is showing a high figure, that's what's causing your problem. (Highlight it, click 'End Process', ignore the warning about the end of the world being about to happen and click 'Yes).

It's just possible that you'll find that it's your browser which is actually using all of your processing power. (Firefox 4 seems to do it occasionally). If so, still use the 'End Process' route and then restart it. That should bring things back to normal.

the only time I have had a similar problem is when my son has filled up my computer with links and bogged down the memory

mike1111 you are just getting ruder and ruder of late.
Thanks Buenchico, will have a look.

under CPU I have one or two items that fluctuate just over the single figures but ony just.
Hmm, odd!

Also check the 'Mem Usage' column (after pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete). I'd expect your browser to using (perhaps) 150,000K. (If the figure is massively higher, your browser is hogging memory). Nothing else should be much above, perhaps, 20,000K.

NB: I'm assuming that you're currently experiencing problems with using your browser efficiently (e.g. by getting normal speed scrolling). If the problem is intermittent, the Ctrl-Alt-Delete checks will only show the cause of the problem while it's actually occurring.

Ok, ive gone over to Firefox, it does seem better and I dont appear to have any adds on the right hand side.
Chris in my case it is IE that is hogging it 950,000k.......
It sounds like you are low on memory. Have a read of this article ...
