Updates

I cant get updates for my computer .
I have Windows XP Media Centre.
Media Centre has also stoped Working.
Has anyone any easy step by step info That can help me.
This has happend after i let the computer Do a system clean up ( Unused items stuff). Many thanks to anyone who can give Step by step Advice ...Thanks.

Is it a licenced installation of XP? Updates are not available without proper registration. This feature was part of an automatic update so once it loads you can no longer get updates without a valid licence.

Yes it is a licenced Installation.
All had worked well Untill around New Year.
Have tried following microsoft web site but with no joy.

I should also clear a point i get the info that updates are ready for your computer and i can continue working on the computer during this .
Info window then comes up saying some updates could not be installed.
Tried the Trouble shooting to no avail.
