Go on the homepage you want to use, then go to Tools --- Internet Options and then where it says "homepage", click on "use current". This should sort it.

Tried it squarbear, but nope, didn`t work, still get Error 404.
Can you get to any website?
Question Author
Yes I can get `yahoo` and `aol`
Ok. Try going to Tools --- Internet Options and then where it says "homepage", type in http://www.google.com That will make google your home page.

Which website address are you trying to use for your homepage?
Question Author
Virgin Media
That's not a website address. It will be something like www and end with .co.uk or .com
Can you get to the website if you type the URL in the address box ? It may be a genuine temporary error with your homepage website.
That's what I was thinking Geezer but we need to know what the name of the website is.
Question Author
ntlworld.com
Try putting http://www.virginmedia.com/ in your homepage under the options part like earlier.

Can you get to http://www.virginmedia.com/ if you type it in the address bar?
http://www.virginmedia.com/ comes up for me :-(
