I the ChuckFickens' suggestion is probably a better bet.

not wanting to seem ignorant but how do i open it ?
Ah, well.
Presumably you've found yourself at the PC World page from the link that ChuckFickens sent.
You get a choice of three webcam links on the left hand side.
Click on the one that responds to your model.
On the new page you'll see a link to the driver download on the right hand side.
Click that and copy it to your hard drive.
On my computer I've made a 'Download' file on my Desktop so I know exactly where to find it.
It's probably a zip file.
Unzip it and it will most likely put itself into the C:\unzipped file on your hard drive.
You should then be able to click on the exe file from there and it should install itself.
Hope this helps.
Let us know how you get on.
Actually, I've just had a quick look and it seems to be an exe file anyway, so that should make it easier for you.
