Morning all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to download Winzip for free without being taken onto other sites requiring you to sign up for trial periods for DVDs etc.

As always, many thanks for your help.

Did you know you can create zip files AND unzup zip files in Windows XP (and I assume Vista)?

To create a Zip file you can right click on file(s) or folder(s) and select "Send to" then "Compressed zip folder".

Vista does have the option to ZIP files VHG....it is a tiny bit more complicated than the XP way though (like everything else in Vista!!!)
half the world uses zip ... the other half use rar
winrar creates/opens both ...

neither is free
and some of the weirder people use tarballs
Hey, don't knock tarballs! Best of the lot.

7zip is free and reads and writes zip files, rar files, and everything else.

Hello, here is the link to winzip free http://freearchiver.org/ I am using it both for personal and business goals so this software is a pretty good one. It doesn't need registration, keys and any codes
You can try this winzip free http://freearchiver.org/ I am using it for a pretty long period of time without any failures.
