I always download a couple of crosswords from the web which are in Pdf format. When I try to do this today my computer freezes ,they won't load and I have to log off and restart. The Adobe reader thingy is obviously not working . Tried a systems restore but that doesn't do anything either .I have no idea how to download another reader and am missing my Spectator crossword fix !
We use Firefox .
Any ideas ..thank you .

How's Mr S? x
Question Author
Well another load of blood tests for Mr.S .ordered by the GP because he's had no report yet from the hospital .When he gets the results of the biopsies then he has to go back and see him again .
That pincushion act is a total pain but its nice to think that the gP is on the ball.
Question Author
Sorry I was bit abrupt there .Phone was ringing .
I went in with him today otherwise I only get half the story !
The GP is annoyed because he's had no feed back from the hospital .The letter he had to take in just said what operation had been done and that was it .To be honest I wasn't all that impressed with this hospital at all .They didn't even give him any dressings for the fistula which is leaking .
Good job I keep womens products in the house :))
Now I'm wondering why on earth you would have "women's products" in the house, are you a lot younger than I thought???

Was that the hospital at Colney Shaney?
Question Author
It was the Spire Hospital Loftie .Yes ,Colney up round Bowthorpe way.
Oh that's Ok shaney, I know all about weeing!!!!
Was that private care? our local Spire is private, we know it well its very good, they are always generous with dressings etc for post discharge use.
Evening everybiddy.
Talking about wg Neti. Don't we all know about it!! Sneezing can be a downfall for me :)
I don't know if it's any help Shaney but I like to think that the hospital would call you back very quickly if the results were very serious but I can really understand your concern. I'm a real worrier. How is your leg doing these days.
Robi. Hope you are ok. I bet you are with your family every 'step' of the way. Have been thinking about you. My sister and her daughter talk on a Mon or Tues night on Skype and I see them both sign on when I'm on my PC so I know they are getting together. It's great. Look forward to hearing from you.
My youngest son went to Blackpool at the weekend to a Golfing competition and would you believe he played in the 4's on Saturday and won and then on Sunday, after getting in at 4 in the morning, he played in the singles and won that. He got a trophy, some crystal to keep and £50 So that cheered him up.
It's been a lovely evening and I went for a walk for an hour. I couldn't believe it when I got back. I only went around the houses and along the ring road. I felt better for it.
I'm not particularly a fan of Top Gear but did anybody see it this weekend. I watched it on iplayer. I thought it was really good (oops just sneezed - but kept me legs crossed)Tom Cruise was on and that woman he's in a film with. Can't remember her name, Richard Hammond was in a race over ice and snow etc. very exciting. Then there was the story of Ayreton Senna, It was a really good programme.
I'm off now for my cocoa.
Have a good night all
See yer later 'gater(s) x

Yes it was private Woofie . Not a patch on St Anthonys in North Cheam where I was treated once and where Mr. S had his prostate thing done . They took an hour to go and find someone to dispense some Fybogel ! Are they a private hospital chain ?
Question Author
Oh Yoohoo Jude ..didn't see you there :) My leg is still attached to my body .It's all discoloured which I doubt will ever go away and it still swells a bit but otherwise it's no trouble .Enjoy your cocoa ,sleep tight .

Have just looked at the stamp Kit .Very good .I see they have ones with other crime writers on them too.
We're still waiting for the last two books here
It would seem that it's better to go to N&N than the BUPA Spire now Shaney. Couldn't fault the treatment Mr LL had and the follow up has been superb. It has restored my faith in the NHS. But then, it wasn't good with my poor Mum, but I am afraid it's the same old story there about treatment for the elderly.

Top Gear was excellent Jude. However, I think Richard Hammond has changed dramatically for the worst and would now make a good Dr Who!!

Nite, nite folks. I am exceedingly tired for no good reason.

Our land is going on the market next week!!
they used to be the Bupa hospitals. Bupa "sold" its hospitals to the Spire Group and Bupa itself is now only an insurance facility. Our local Spire is very good but then again our local NHs facilities have been excellent as well so far as care goes. the big difference is single rooms. Its quite difficult sleeping on a ward, especially when all the people on it have got monitors and IV's etcet beeping and ticking away and 2 or 4 hourly obs. in both cases you couldn't fault the cleanliness or the infection control. Now that we have a trustable GP practice, I at least feel that DH is in good hands between private and NHS. the other thing that has been first class is the liaison between the two.

Cooler and less humid here today after a truly dire day yesterday. When we were at sea on ship with little or no air conditioning this used to be known as GSW or good sleeping weather. As soon as things cooled down after the Gulf, everyone who could would turn in for as long as poss and catch up on kip.
at which point
nighty night all, see youse later
Afternoon Biddies ,miserable and showery here but it will be sunny on the weekend and we need some rain .Went out shopping this morning to buy a new top ( blouse-type thing )but everything seems to be made for twiggy-type people not the small ,round -apple like person (small as in height 148cms !) not weight .I daren't think about that ! Needless to say didn't find anything suitable so back to the local shopping centre to-morrow .
Had a McDonalds fishburger and a (free) cup of tea for lunch -very good for the waistline -NOT . Arrived home to hear the phone ringing -it was the local newspaper asking if they could call round and take our photo as they had heard we will be celebrating our Diamond Wedding Anniversary (60 years -Mr,D says you only get 25 yrs for murder !!! )on August 5th ,I of course said we would be delighted to see them .. aha Fame at last ! until someone wraps their fish and chips in the paper HAHA .
No news is good news usually Shaney but I'll still say my little prayers for all my virtual biddy friends and their families .
Love to all Dolly xx
Morning all.

I remember St Anthony's in Cheam. My mother-in-law worked there and was treated there after her brain anuyrism, she was covered by private insurance for 6 months , but as she was a veg there was no way she was going to recover and after the 6 months they wanted to chuck her out into a NHS hospital even thought she was one of them and had worked for them for years, D-I-L was desperate and wanted to sell his house just to keep her there, but then they suggested that they stop feeding her as they were not allowed to euthenase(sp) her, it was a dreadful time. I thought it was very bad of them although the treatment was excellent. So much for nuns and loyalty! My friend is head cleaner there and her daughter cleans the theatres and the other daughter had breast inplants there (and a super natural job they made of it).

Jude I don't need an excuse like sneezing, it just happens sometimes!! :-(

Fishburger Dolly? yuk no thank you. Golden Wedding wow, must remember that one!
How's Pearl?

I arrived here 39yrs ago yesterday, what a life style change that was!

Must download that Top Gear as I've read about Cameron diaz breaking the clutch on her test drive. Mind you I ride the clutch a lot which makes Mr N rather cross!!!!

Hope all biddy husbands are feeling better if not wonderful.

Cheer up Robi, at least your son has his family with him now so that should please you.
Morning , here I is...you've been jabbering a lot I see, haha...I've got some things to do before it rains (again) so I'll catch up later.
Family arrived safely & on time...the next few months will be very testing.
Chin up Robi, thinking about you! See yer later!
