Beta Update

Hi,

Hope everyone's well and looking forward to Christmas!

Just a quick message to keep you up to date:

As you can see the Techies have now removed the link to the new beta version of AB from the homepage.

This doesn't mean it's gone forever...fear not!

Judging from everyone's feedback and by the numerous problems a large number of users were experiencing, we obviously still have some work to do. So, for the time being if anyone is still using the beta version and has any difficulties in doing so, please do not report it as we are well aware of the issues and I assure you the techies are working hard to fix it. At present we're unaware of how long the problems will take to fix but I will keep you posted.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to post in this thread.

Hooray! Please don't struggle too hard to bring it back in a hurry. Put it on indefinite hold. The old AB is far better without all the silly new additions!

Morning Ed, Tech's & all - so glad you've taken onboard the feedback regarding beta slowing down the system.

Although I didn't have too much of a problem getting into it, I have to agree with Lofty! Much more efficient without it.

I agree bigmamma, I did like the avatars & PM's, but I felt sorry for all the pep's who experienced so many problems getting into it! I think you'll know what I mean. -xx-

I know it's had it's teething probs, but I really like AB beta version and want it to stay. So I'm looking forward to when it's all been tweaked and is running tickety boo.

I can still get onto Sports AB to see the aviators of the select few who are my friends, though I can't seem to actually send PMs, acceptances etc at the moment. But I've always liked the sleek, stripped-down old AB anyway, so I can cope without Beta for a while.
