when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

very nice, Jude. They look like baby Triffids... shiver
That is a lovely plant jude, I would welcome a weed like that. Mr N has had a good day hacking into out jungle and really cutting back the tree, I can see neighbours and daylight now! On Thurs he is starting on the other algroba tre so I may not have to move my washing line and the sun will shine down unihibited (?) and I will see the moon rising again!!
Oh a triffid, wonderful story, I think we heard it on the radio and it was so scary! Is it any wonder that I have a vivid imagination???
I am envious of Shaneytowers! I want a grand name for my villa, ok it's old, it's shabby but I can pretend, suggs please!!
Casa Fukuppy?
Gasps!! You shutuppy!
PS not a triffid, a wonderful pot marigold!
I needed the Derbyshire sky photoshopped today to make it blue with a shiny object in it but I decided to play in the garden anyway. Hoiked a few weeds out, threw some tulip bulbs down and stuffed em in the ground...now I feel like I've been kicked in the ribs & stomach again. I think I'll call my mascot Fukenelly.

Jude save the seeds from your pot marigold, they'll grow anywhere. I usually have lots but sadly they were too late making an appearance this year.

Ooh woofy I think I've given my opinion of SWs several times...Im sure there are good ones somewhere but I haven't found one yet.
lol Robi, I have known a few good ones but not many. You should have heard my Mum on them, she could swear for hours and not repeat herself.
We have just had the official start of the firework season. I am trying new tablets this year, melatonin. I have to import it from the US but I haver tried it on thundery days and it seems to work well if you can get it in before the noise kicks off which is easier with fireworks in November as i will probably just give them a dose every day as it gets dark.
Car is back, beautifully clean and deodorised with a free tin of sweeties. Had already decided to go out later tomorrow as its not sensible to take the first drive in a newly serviced car very early in the morning, in the dark, in case they did something silly when servicing it. I really don't think they have but am not inclined to test it.
Dogs have settled so I will too soon. Oight oight my lovelies.

this in-camera meeting is closed for the day, then
Good morning all, got up early as nice DIY man didn't come yesterday and I thought he might come today, as I have said, his wife is ill so I won't chase it. Dogs are quite happy with huge chews. Its wet and orrible here.
Morning each. It's perfect weather for taking my pic outdoors...it's foggy. Well, it was, a bit...it's cleared now but still dark and cold. If I can be ready before it rains I might shuffle to the shops, I'm about to have a lurpak crisis.... woe betide any shop assistants who continue their conversations over my head as they serve me, I'm getting really fed up of it....grrrr.

The fireworks started here a couple of nights ago...very loud explosions.
Tis the season of bonfires here now, I hate them, they burn everyday and night all week so is very difficult to get washing dry and not smelling of smoke, grrrr!!!

We went to look at a new suite this am but there weren't many that we liked, so we didn't get one!

Hija went to end of season dinner with her company (the owner is a friend of Mr N's) to the casino, she tottered home at 6.30 this am, said the boss kept hugging her!! She has so much to do before she goes to Barça but has gone out for lunch now!!

Lovely weather, have sorted out my bras and sewn extenders onto them, ahh that's more comfy! Still sweating like the proverbial!!

Doing roast lamb tonight!
DIY man has come and I am glad he did. He was trying to sort out the socket problem, looked at the mains wiring out of the fuse box and found under the outer casing a big gap in the casing of an individual wire!! It would have sat there quietly getting hot and gradually melting the wire casings which could have been nasty.
Oh woofy, thank heavens he found it, lucky the dogs didn't!!

It is so hot here again, I hate it, off for a swim!
well I made it, just, I almost turned round and came back, I felt horrible and panicky - it's the time of year, the gloom makes me disorientated. But in true biddy stylie I soldiered on, shops were nice and quiet, (everyone must be in tizzy) and just got back in time, it's been piddling down ever since.

That was lucky woofy, my friend's just had a similar problem and had to have a new meter. She came very close to having a fire.

Stoppit with your hot weather neti...There's only one way to extend my bras

The interesting bit is that when the new fuse box was fitted about 5 years ago, the bloke who fitted it (certified leccy) went round and tested all the wiring and fuse trips. I know he did it cos I walked round with him.
Sorry to keep on, but it's making me annoyed all this heat, It's like walking into an oven when you come in the front door, grrrr. Must check Ihaven't left the oven or heating on somesuch, it's all very strange at this time of the year.
Just had a phone call from a good friend in Chile, was lovely to hear her voice again. She was my best friend din the 80's and 90's before she and her family moved to Santiago.
Oh Robi...do you need one of those walkers with wheels and a bag on so you can run into the heels and shins of whippersnappers?
I haven't done much and am exhausted. Still the kitchen is tidy again and I have gone out for a drive so i know the car is unlikely to let me down in the morning in the dark. Dogs have spent the day supervising DIY man and are exhausted too and a bit clingy. Time for my jammies i think.
