should i use the sleep key whenever i leave my computer for more than 1/2 hour

For 30 mins, i personally wouldnt bother. But, depending on where you use the PC, you might wanna set a screensaver that is password protected.

You don't need to do anything to leave it!! best to have a screen saver running though but not essential on modern monitors apparently.

I found that using the hibernate in XP some programs would not work after restart so I needed to reboot.
