why when i click on the minimize button in top right hand corner of screen does it close the page i am looking at?

Does it not just minimize it?

or does it actually close the page all together?

It will close the page if it is the only application u r looking at. However it will not disappear it will have an icon/title bar at the bottom of the page to restore the page.
