Two days ago I ordered a large amount of Stationery from Viking for the Dundee Branch of Samaritans. Delivery was to be yesterday (Thursday) after 12 noon as specified as we don't open till then. Email received saying sorry we tried to deliver at 0920 but there was nobody there to sign for it!

Phoned to complain and rearranged delivery for today after 3 pm (opening time). Another email informing me that they tried to deliver at 1010 but there was nobody there to sign for it!

Phoned yet again. Girl at Viking said they couldn't specify a time. However, we have been specifying a time for the past 20 years as we are not open office hours without any problem. No option but to cancel order. Their loss but I'm hopping mad.

I think a strongly worded email telling them they have lost a customer of 20 years standing due to removing the specified time delivery option.
I agree, I would send them an e-mail. I would say that they should have told you right away that they couldn't match your opening hours.

I hope you find someone else to accommodate you.
complaining means are giving the man opportunity to change.

If you are really jagged off - just go ! ( flounce silently )
and tell everyone else how crip their service is
